Last week, while remodeling a rental property down in Orem, Utah, we encountered a situation where the linoleum traveled up the bottom of the cabinetry, over where the toekick would have been.
Here's what it looked like, note the close-up:

After we peeled away the old linoleum, we found that the cabinetry didn't have any toekicks! The cabinetry bottoms were exposed, and would have to be covered somehow. Under the circumstance that it would be costly and time-consuming to go find matching toekicks, the customer suggested covering it with the new luxury vinyl flooring we were installing. We thought it was a great idea!
So that's what we did, and here's what is looked it after we installed the new flooring the customer picked out, our luxury vinyl planking Butterscotch Oak:

And...

Loved the idea, and we're bound to keep it in mind for next time!
